<strong>নয়াদিল্লি:</strong> ভারতের টেস্ট দলে ডাক পেয়েছেন হায়দরাবাদের প্রাক্তন অধিনায়ক হনুমা বিহারি। বর্তমানে অন্ধ্র দলের হয়ে খেলেন তিনি। ইংল্যান্ডের বিরুদ্ধে চলতি সিরিজের বাকি দুটি টেস্টে ভারতীয় স্কোয়াডে পৃথ্বী শ-র সঙ্গে তাঁকে বেছে নিয়েছে বিসিসিআই। নটিংহ্যামের বৈঠকে নির্বাচকরা মুরলী বিজয় ও কুলদীপ যাদবের জায়গায় এই দুই ব্যাটসম্যানকে বেছে নিয়েছেন। সম্প্রতি দক্ষিণ আফ্রিকা এ দলের বিরুদ্ধে হনুমার ১৪৮ রানের ইনিংস নির্বাচকদের নজর কেড়েছে। এর সঙ্গে রয়েছে প্রথম শ্রেণীর ক্রিকেটে ২৪ বছরের এই ক্রিকেটার অসাধারণ ধারাবাহিকতা। ভারতের টেস্ট দলে ডাক পাওয়ার পর হনুমা বলেছেন, ‘ওই ইনিংসটাই তফাত গড়ে দিয়েছে। ১৪৮ রানের ইনিংস খেলার পর আমার মনে হয়েছিল, ইংল্যান্ড সফরে ভারতীয় দলে ডাক পাওয়ার একটা সম্ভাবনা পেয়েছে। আমি খুবই উচ্ছ্বসিত। ভারতের হয়ে খেলা ছিল আমার স্বপ্ন’। সেই স্বপ্ন পূরণের ক্ষেত্রে তাঁর বাবা-মায়ের আত্মত্যাগের কথাও মনে পড়ছে হনুমার। তাঁর এই সাফল্যের পিছনে মা বিজয়লক্ষ্মী, বোন বৈষ্ণবী, কাকা প্রসাদ ও কোচ জন মনোজের অবদানের কথা বলেছেন হনুমা। তিনি বলেছেন, ‘আমি জানি আমার জন্য কতটা আত্মত্যাগ করেছে মা। আমার কাকারও বড় একটা ভূমিকা রয়েছে। আমার কেরিয়ারে একটা বড়সড় প্রভাব রয়েছে সেন্ট জন ক্যাম্পে ট্রেনিংয়ের। খেলাটা যখন শুরু করি তখন জন স্যর ও অন্যান্য কোচেরা আমাকে প্রচুর সাহায্য করেছেন’। ইংল্যান্ডের পরিবেশে ব্যাট করাটা একটা চ্যালেঞ্জ বলে মেনে নিয়েছেন হনুমা। এ ব্যাপারে ভারত এ দলের সাম্প্রতিক ইংল্যান্ড সফরের অভিজ্ঞতা কাজে লাগবে বলে মনে করছেন তিনি। তিনি বলেছেন, ‘ওখানে বল সিম ও সুইং করে। তাই বলের জন্য অপেক্ষা করে খেলতে হবে’। ভারতের এই দুরন্ত দলে সুযোগ পাওয়া ও বিরাট কোহলির নেতৃত্বে খেলা একটা অসাধারণ অনুভূতি বলেও মন্তব্য করেছেন তিনি। হনুমা বলেছেন, সুযোগ পাওয়ার পর এবার তাঁর লক্ষ্যে দলে জায়গা পাকা করা। তা অনেক বেশি কঠিন লড়াই বলে মন্তব্য করেছেন তিনি।

Chris Evans Explains The Difference Between Captain America And Himself
Sometimes Tony Stark wants to punch Steve Rogers in his perfect teeth, but most of the time they get along okay. Just over the weekend, for example, Robert Downey Jr. jokingly shared a tweet that highlighted the difference between Captain America and actor Chris Evans, and now the Avengers: Infinity War co-star has shown his approval.
The post that started it all came from a fan who juxtaposed two images from the set of Infinity War. Both feature a bearded Evans in his latest Captain America garb against the same backdrop. The difference is that the photo labelled ‘steve rogers’ shows the guy looking typically stoic, while the picture of ‘chris evans’ has the man goofily bearing those same teeth that Stark wanted so much to punch.

The distinction is clear cut: Rogers – serious; Evans – silly. And when Downey Jr. reposted the image, his own commentary was similarly to the point, tweeting, “One word: accurate.” A few days later, Evans retweeted with one word of his own: “Busted.”

Perhaps it’s important that we have such a concise means of distinguishing the man from his fictional alter ego, seeing how Evans is at a point in his career where the Captain dominates the actor’s public persona. It’s currently being widely predicted that next year’s Avengers 4 will be Steve Rogers’ last major turn in the series, putting Evans in the tricky position of having to move on from his trademark role.
But before we think too hard about the star’s future prospects, first there’s the matter of finishing the fight against Thanos. After the mass genocide that concluded their last movie, directors Anthony and Joe Russo recently suggested that next year’s release will show a tougher side to Steve and his fellow Avengers.
“It’s hardened all of them in a way. You can’t go on the run without it affecting you emotionally, so I think all of those characters — specifically the ones who survived Infinity War, Cap and Natasha [Romanoff] — you will see them with a much much harder edge.”
Another thing you can expect to see in the upcoming sequel is the long-awaited reunion of Steve and Stark after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Given the complicated history between these two characters, their lack of shared screen time in Avengers: Infinity War was a little surprising, but you can take this as a sign that the conclusion to Iron Man and Captain America‘s love-hate relationship is being saved for when Avengers 4 comes out on May 3rd, 2019.

Jon Hamm, Ed Harris And Lewis Pullman Join Top Gun: Maverick
It’s languished on the fringes of development for years, spouting nine kinds of rumors and speculation as to whether Tom Cruise would ever suit up once again as the best-in-class Naval aviator, Lt. Pete Mitchell. But at long last, Top Gun 2 has been cleared for takeoff, and it’ll arrive bearing the title Top Gun: Maverick.
Story-wise, we understand that the pic will tackle the technological clash between fighter pilots and drones, with the new technologies on the verge of rendering the human pilot obsolete. Naturally, this is bad for Maverick, who lives for the thrill of soaring through the skies and engaging in thrilling dogfights. Plot details beyond that remain scarce, but with the sequel now gearing up to enter production, the cast is beginning to fill up.
Case in point: Deadline brings word tonight that Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Lewis Pullman have all signed on for Top Gun: Maverick in undisclosed roles. They’ll join the aforementioned Cruise along with Val Kilmer, Glen Powell, Jennifer Connelly and Miles Teller. Impressive cast, eh?
This may seem like an odd time to finally deliver a follow-up to the 32-year-old box office smash, but late director Tony Scott, who was offered the project prior to his death in 2012, saw the new world of the 2010s as an opportunity to try something different from his previous hit. Now, Joseph Kosinksi, who worked with Cruise on Oblivion, will tackle the pic, with a script from Eric Singer (American Hustle), Justin Marks (The Jungle Book), and Peter Craig (both parts of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay). But if you’re looking for some more returning names from the first film, Harold Faltermeyer is composing the score and will hopefully be bringing a large helping of nostalgia.
The first Top Gun was the highest-grossing release of 1986, but will audiences still flock to theaters for more of this world and these characters? We’ll find out when Top Gun: Maverick flies into cinemas on July 12th, 2019.

Blade Cinematographer On How They Made The Blood Club Scene Look So Cool
Long before Deadpool brought the X-Men universe into R-rated territory, the 1998 Blade translated its Marvel comics source material into stylishly gruesome spectacle. Mixing supernatural horror tropes with proto-Matrix action, this popular trilogy-starter made it clear from the opening minutes that this wasn’t going to be your parents’ superhero flick.
Before Wesley Snipes has even made his first appearance in the title role, the Stephen Norrington-helmed film sets the mood in a sequence which sees an unsuspecting partier lured into a secret rave, unaware that his fellow attendees are vampires thirsting for his blood. It’s only when gallons of the red stuff starts spraying down from the ceiling that the poor guy catches on that something is very wrong – enter Blade.
The blood pouring from the sprinklers makes for a visually striking moment, and in an interview with SyFy, cinematographer Theo Van de Sand has explained how they got the liquid looking just right.
“What we did in creating the Blood Club, it had a lot of technical elements to deliver a feel of something never seen. We wanted to give the blood a particulation, so I used a strobe light that was connected to the camera. Because of that, the blood becomes very stylistic due to the short exposure and gives a very harsh feel to it. Also, I created a [new] camera, one designed with an anamorphic lens equipped with a viewfinder, so we could do a lot of hand-held in the action scenes. The choice to do it anamorphic gives it more impact.”
It’s technical details like these that helped turn Blade into a such a lucrative film trilogy that’s influenced dark and hyper-stylized action flicks ever since. That being said, it’s been a while since we’ve seen the old vampire hunter on the big screen.
Last year, a typically tight-lipped Kevin Feige hinted at the possibility of the character making his debut in the MCU, though you probably shouldn’t hold your breath on that one. Let’s at least hope that Marvel Studios doesn’t drag their feet too long on planing Eric Brooks’ return, since it would be a shame to think that the half-vampire’s big screen finale was Blade: Trinity.

Deadpool 2 Writers Reveal How They Got Matt Damon To Cameo
Matt Damon’s cameo in Deadpool 2 may not have been as brief as Brad Pitt’s, but you can imagine that even fewer audience members managed to identify him, with The Martian actor buried beneath enough prosthetics to make the Hollywood A-lister virtually unrecognizable.
Damon’s all-too-brief appearance is a typical troll move for the Deadpool series made all the more ridiculous by the hygiene-related dialogue he shares with a similarly disguised Alan Tudyk. It’s a moment that comes up in one of the special features on the sequel’s home video release, too, prompting co-writer Rhett Reese to explain where the inspiration for this unusual and informative scene came from.
“It’s been sort of an old runner of mine. I’ve told my friends this and people know this about me. I do this bit about the inadequacy of toilet paper to create the appropriate hygiene for a human being. So I did it for Ryan [Reynolds] at one point and we just all looked at each other and said, ‘well this has to go into the movie somehow.’”
But while a scene of two rednecks discussing the limitations of toilet paper in the middle of superhero movie is all well and good, the question then emerged of which fine thespians could do these lines justice.
“So then we thought, ‘well, what caliber actor would we need to do a scene where two rednecks talk about wiping themselves after spending some time on the toilet.’ Of course, you have to have somebody Oscar caliber doing that kind of bit. Matt was very receptive so Ryan ended up sending him the pages. Matt called him back and said ‘I’m in.’”
Ultimately, the scene doesn’t end too well for Damon and Tudyk’s characters, with their toilet paper discussion being cut short by the arrival of a typically violent Cable. Nonetheless, co-writer Paul Wernick reports that the rednecks’ words planted a seed in the mind of Damon himself, who’s since chosen to live by their advice.
“Matt’s now a wet wipes guy himself after he read the pages.”
